Flat Design – What is it?
“Flat Design” is essentially a minimalist approach to design. You can usually tell something is a “flat design” when it consists of flat colors and there is no use of any stylistic characteristics such as drop shadows, gradients, and textures that make elements appear to lift off the page. Today, many designers tend to use this type of design because it has a very modern and crisp feel that allows them to focus more on content and the message they are trying to convey.
